1. Security Risks: Paper passes, easily forged or duplicated, or used past the duration set by the visitor, significantly increase the risk of unauthorized access.
2. Verification and Tracking Challenges: Guards often only give passes a cursory glance, failing to authenticate them and making real-time tracking of visitors within the community difficult.
3. Time Consumption: The process to create and distribute a paper pass to a visitor is inefficient, usually taking over two minutes, causing delays and adding workload on security staff.
4. Management Inefficiency: Manual handling of paper passes—issuing, collecting, and tracking—is laborious, especially problematic for larger communities or during peak times.
5. Limited Information: The small size of paper passes restricts the amount of detail that can be included, limiting clarity on the visitor’s identity or visit purpose.

To address these challenges, we introduced SentryPass—a mobile access solution for your guests. To eliminate the hassle of guards having to call residents to verify visitors, and the need to create and print passes, we’ve automated the process. After a resident adds a visitor to their list, the visitor automatically receives a text with their SentryPass, valid only for the duration set by the resident.

When the guard scans the SentryPass, all the visitor’s information is displayed on the tablet, allowing for actual verification of the guest. If the guest is permitted, the resident will receive a guest arrival notification via the app or email.
